Arriving in Jersey
When you arrive in Jersey, you need to apply for a registration card.
Your residential status determines where you can live, there are four categories and your status will be printed on your registration card.
You’ll be ‘registered’ and need to look for this type of accommodation.
You can start looking for accommodation before applying for your card.

Looking for a property
To help you in your property search we’ve listed some options below.

ITC Properties
Sid and the team at ITC properties have three options available to our students. Accommodation needs to be booked with them directly on +44 (01534 741305 or by email on enquiries@itcproperties.co.uk.
Students are charged by the term, updated prices are on the ITC website
Fairholme
Is in Havre Des Pas, on the outskirts of St Helier and has 15 rooms spread over three floors. All 15 rooms are available for Institute of Law students, with priority being given to first year students.
La Bonne Vie
This property is next door to Fairholme, with 10 rooms in total. Five rooms have been allocated for Institute of Law students, with priority being given to second year students.
The rooms at Fairholme & La Bonne Vie are available from 17th September – 18th December 2022 and spring term dates are 1st January – 8th April 2023. They are closed over the Christmas holidays.
Peterborough House
Is in St Aubin and has recently undergone a full refurbishment. There are 11 double/twin rooms and a double sea view suite with kitchenette.
All rooms are available for Institute of Law from the start of October 2022 to the end of March 2023.
Le Hurel Cottages
A choice of two and three-bedroom purpose-built cottages located in Trinity. Each cottage includes electricity, Wi-Fi and bi-weekly clean and linen change. There is a separate 1.5-acre grass area for guests use with nets for ball games such as football, volleyball and badminton and a covered area for bicycles. You’ll find the local bus stop within two minutes’ walk of the property.
All cottages are available from 25 September 2022 to 29 April 2023.
Refundable Deposits
Equivalent to 1 months’ rent – payable by each student at time of booking.
Rental Options
- Double Room – 2-person occupancy £650 pcm (£150 pw)
- Large Single / Double Room – Single occupancy £800 pcm (£184.62 pw)
- Double En-suite Room – 2-person occupancy £700 pcm (£161.54 pw)
- Double En-suite Room – Single occupancy £850 pcm (£196.15 pw)
Please note – Rent to be paid in 2 Semesters:
Pre-Christmas Semester – Payment required by 30th June 22
Post-New Year Semester – Payment required by 30th October 22
A guarantee will be required for the full period of rental payments, options to be discussed directly with Roger at Freedom Holidays.

Option 3 – 2 people sharing 1 double bedroom + 1 person in double bedroom + 1 person in Double Ensuite Bedroom (4 people in total)

To book Le Hurel, or to arrange a visit please contact roger@freedomholidays.com. Please note, the properties are rented in their entirety, not to individual students, so you need to have three or four students who are happy to share.
A self-catering resort located in the west of the island, close to the airport.
There are two garden view apartments available which can accommodate three students per apartment.
The cost, per apartment is £2300 per month + electric per Apartment from 1st October 2022 until 31st March 2023.
Please note the Garden Apartments have bunk beds in the third bedroom, however, the bunks can be replaced with a single bed free of charge.
One person will need to be responsible for each booking and pay the rentals monthly on the 1st of each month (late payments will incur a penalty of £20 per day) and will be responsible for the apartment and the tenants occupying the unit.
This person can be a student, however, Les Ormes will need the confirmation that they’ve read and accepted the terms and conditions, and understand they are committing to the 6 monthly contracts, Les Ormes don’t accept an early departure notice.
In the case that one of the students will no longer need the accommodation due to any circumstances, the monthly rentals will remain unchanged.

Field House
A shared house located in the south west of the island, consisting of five bedrooms.
As of February 2022, the property is currently full, but they may have limited availability later in the year. Please contact Joanna on fieldhousejersey@gmail.com if you’d like more information.
Private rental
If you’d like to rent privately, one of the estate agents in this list may be able to help you. In general, they’ll have information on properties available from September 2022 from June or July 2022, but you may be able to register your details with them beforehand.
The Property in Jersey Facebook group contains posts from private landlords, local estate agents and individuals looking for house shares.
