With most classes taking place in the evenings and at weekends, many students undertake paid employment with local law firms or financial institutions. Gain the experience needed towards qualification as a Jersey lawyer at the same time as undertaking your academic or practitioner qualifications.

Marie studied on our double degree between 2017 and 2020. She spent two years in Jersey and one year in Toulouse. During those years, she studied the University of London LLB and the License en droit and has since received an offer to study on the prestigious double LLM degree run by Queen Mary University London and the Sorbonne School of Law in Paris. Amy started working at Mourant at the beginning of the second year of her LLB. Her first role was as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal while still working towards completing her LLB. After finishing the LLB, Mourant arranged for her to be enrolled on the Jersey Law Course with the Institute of Law. Upon completion of the Jersey Law Course two years later she was sworn in as a Jersey Solicitor in the Royal Court. Read more…
