Andrew Le Sueur
Andrew is the Director of Studies at the Institute of Law. He is Professor of Public Law at Queen Mary, University of London (since May 2006), where he is Director of Teaching and Learning in the Department of Law. He previously held academic posts in the University of Birmingham (as Barber Professor of Jurisprudence, 2001-2006) and UCL (Lecturer, then Reader in Laws, 1988-2000). He is a qualified Barrister in England and Wales and a 'bencher' of Middle Temple. His research and teaching is in the field of constitutional and administrative law and he is editor of the journal Public Law.
Lori-Ann Foley
Lori-Ann is the Manager/Librarian, responsible for the day-to-day running of the Institute. She holds degrees in Classical Archaeology from Oxford, London and Manitoba Universities, recently completed a BA in French, Spanish and German with the Open University and is currently undertaking a translation course à distance through an Institute in Rennes. She has written a book on the Clameur de Haro, a legal procedure based in Norman law which has a 1,000 year history in the Channel Islands, and has co-written and edited other local books. She comes to the Institute of Law from the Jersey Financial Services Commission, where she worked in the International and Policy Department.
Solange Hucker
Solange Hucker assists with the day-to-day running of the Institute.
Solange comes from Carey Olsen, where she had been working for the past 7 years as a researcher. She is familiar with the Commentators and the history of Jersey law, as well as having a general legal background. Solange is a French national who has been in the Island for over 20 years and speaks fluent French and English.
